Kubernetes

All Cloud Control releases are tested against the Kubernetes versions which are actively supported by the Kubernetes project when the Cloud Control release is made available. As Cloud Control development does not follow the same cadence as Kubernetes, some Cloud Control releases may have been validated against Kubernetes releases that are subsequently no longer in active support by the Kubernetes project.

Validated releases

This release of Cloud Control has been validated against the following Kubernetes releases:

  • 1.33
  • 1.32
  • 1.31

OpenShift

Cloud Control releases are tested against the OpenShift versions which are actively supported by Red Hat and available for deployment via ‘Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS’ (ROSA) at the time of each specific Cloud Control release.

Validated releases

This release of Cloud Control has been validated against the following OpenShift releases:

  • 4.19
  • 4.18
  • 4.17
  • 4.16

VMware Telco Cloud Platform

PowerDNS Cloud Control has been validated with VMware by Broadcom, through the VMware Ready for Telco Cloud Certification Program.

The Broadcom VMware certification program helps telecommunications service providers and network operators ensure the interoperability and optimization of applications and network functions on the VMware Telco Cloud platform. The validation that Cloud Control is ready for deployment and lifecycle operations through VMware Telco Cloud Automation was conducted in the Ready for Telco Cloud lab on VMware premises.

In particular, PowerDNS Cloud Control is now certified with the following components from VMware Telco Cloud Platform - 5G Edition 4.0:

  • VMware ESXi v8.0 U2b
  • VMware vCenter Server Appliance v8.0.2 U2c
  • VMware NSX v4.1.2.1
  • VMware Telco Cloud Automation v3.1
  • VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator (formerly vRealize Orchestrator) v8.16.1
  • VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid v2.5
  • Kubernetes v1.28.4+vmware.1
  • Harbor v2.9.1
  • AVI Controller v22.1.6 & AKO v1.11.3
